Westford Academy meet 1.11.20

Saturday's meet with Westford Academy had it all. Including the Chelmsford boys team! But we didn't swim them so let's move to what TGD did.
Both Hannes divers made their sectional meet with an impressive outing. The boys raced in exhibition relays which help put the 200 Free Relay at states and drop the team record! The rest of the meet belong to the lady swimmers of TGD. Ro Dudevoir made states in the 100 Fly and helped the team lower their state qualifying 200 medley relay. Riley raced under the minute mark in the 100 Free. And Alice raced closer the state cut in the 500. All in all a fast meet to say the least. Now lets get to the swimmers/divers of the meet.

Cam Watelet: In what was a TGD meet dominated by the ladies,  Cam made his mark in the two relays. Cam swam anchor in the 200 Free Relay that helped the team drop 4 seconds. 2 seconds faster that the state cut. He also swam the fly leg for our relay and cheered the girls on the whole meet. Way to go Cam!
Abigail had a great meet though she didn't swim her usual events. She won the 50 Free with a sectional qualifying time, and then lowered the state qualifying time leading off the medley relay. Abigail also raced the 100 fly for her season best time and anchored the girls 400 relay. Known for her DJ skills at the pool, Abigail always keeps the pool rocking. Nice Job Abigail!
Mia lead off the meet with a, then, season high score off the 1 meter. Her dives are always succinct especially her twists that she does with ease. Making the sectionals meet with her efforts, Mia spent rest of the meet pumping up her teammates and and even joking with the other team's divers. What a cool competitor. Congrats Mia!
Emma is equally as easygoing and chill and her strokes show it. Her long smooth freestyle garnered her a season best in the 50 free. She then tried her talents in the 100 back for the first time. Only a sophomore, you can already see Emma finding her form just as Mid-Wach champs rolls around the corner. Awesome job Emma!
